In lieu of a big birthday party, Ethan chose to invite 2 of his very best friends from school to the movies with him and a sleepover. He wanted to take them to see "Escape From Planet Earth" in 3D, so that is what we did.
They each received their very own BIG Rootbeer and a HUGE bucket of buttered popcorn to share. We allowed them sit in a row right in front of us, so they could feel a little more grown-up. :) Unfortunately that backfired on them as Dad threw popcorn at them during the movie. Poor boys! :)
Time was spent outside, playing Ethan's XBOX 360, mostly "Minecraft" of course, and eating. :)
Ethan requested "Sloppy Joe Turnovers" again for his birthday dinner. Second year in a row! They ARE pretty yummy!!! Here is the recipe: http://littlebirdiesecrets.blogspot.com/2009/05/sloppy-joe-turnovers.html.
Enough of my rambling...here are pictures of his big day! Of course we didn't go over the top with decorations, I mean he is too cool for that now! :(

Settling down for movie time...they all wanted to see:
but 1 of the 3 boys fell asleep within the first 5 min. :) It had been a very long and busy day!
