BRANSON ~ JULY VISIT

Branson here we come AGAIN!!!

Silver Dollar City

Our trip was devoted just to Silver Dollar City this time! The kids love that place and truth be known I do too!

Well for starters, the minivan had started making a squealing noise (probably belt related) when being driven for long periods of time so we decided to play it safe and take Jason's newer and super nice truck, boy was that a mistake!  Not long after we took off down the highway the stinkin' air conditioner decided to quit working!  Lucky us...now 2 adults, 2 kids, and a dog get to experience over 100* heat crammed into an extended cab truck for the next 4 hours.  I wish I could say we made the best of it and decided to pass the time by singing happy songs, I mean that's what super parents do right?  I am embarrassed to admit we didn't receive a medal this time, the Webster crew got cranky real fast.  :(

Here is how the day started off:
Haven't even left the driveway yet...can see the white minivan (we should have taken) behind Ethan.

Still in the driveway, but very excited to get started.

Already pulled out the car activities...both the dog and bumblebee pillowpets came along.

The baby wanted Ethan's 1st car activity choice and Collin gets whatever Collin wants in the car because he will throw a fit that affects mom and dad's positive attitude. :)
Fast forward 45minutes:

Where did that smile go?
They finally just gave up and went to sleep. :(

This picture shows you how really hot it was in the truck.

Plans had been made to overnight at my in-laws RV in Galena, which was known for its very COLD air conditioner.  Visions of relaxing at "Camp Arctic" sure sounded like heaven. Upon arrival we all bailed out of the truck and almost skipped up to the door where we were informed that the air conditioner was on the fritz.  Are you kidding me??? What lesson were we supposed to learn from this because we obviously didn't pass the test the first time!  This was just unacceptable!!! We had a full day of HEAT at Silver Dollar City to look forward to the next day followed by a long drive home!  I think Jason was about to boil right over the top. ;)

I am happy to report that God was answering some of my prayers that day because after checking it over it started working again! Yippee!!!!  God is amazing!!
After a goodnights sleep we were bright eyed & bushy tailed and ready to head towards...Silver Dollar City!

Collin rode this log ride!!!  My baby is so brave!

Waiting in the very long line!

Still waiting!  Is it worth it? Heck yes!

Waiting in line for the rollercoaster!  Of course mommy and Collin are safely on the other side.

My cute/brave boys...aren't I lucky?

Tried to get Collin in this picture too, but he was having none of that nonsense next to the big scary dinosaur!

Waiting for the water to come up so he can squeal like he doesn't have a clue it is about to happen. :)

Collin's favorite place ever...we could spend hours in here.

Train Ride

Train ride show

Still on the train.

Mine's broke!
Waiting for the dog show to begin...we got the best seats in the house!

Look!

Passing the time by playing a game on the phone.

Collin holding his monkey that Ethan won for him. :)

Impossible to get them both looking at the camera at the same time.

Collin wanted to watch the dog, but didn't want to get anywhere near him.

Getting a pop for the drive home.

Glad the air conditioner works in the truck! HA!

Cheese Ethan!

Smile NOW Ethan!!!!

Glad to say we all survived the ride home...truck got fixed the next day!  ;)

We really DID have a wonderful time!
